Informationen for Attendees of the Summer Academy

Teaching

Teaching staff consists of internationally reputed professionals, which are supported by academic tutors who will contribute to the workshop sections. Their experience with relational information facilitates the transfer of working knowledge and the acquisition of data handling abilities in short time. There are also weekly held panel sessions in order to match theory with client applications. Renowned outside experts are involved as well.

The three Workshops A, B and C offer 5 points each of graduate student credit under the European ECTS Scheme. Scheduling does permit registration for all three workshops. However, participants are encouraged to consider enrolling in two of the three modules, as work load will be considerable. Examinations are held at the end of each workshop. Certificates will be awarded to participants not working for credit.

Admission

Workshops are scheduled between July 14 and August 14 2008. Admission is restricted to 15 participants each. Bilingual students who are eligible for a graduate program in their home country are invited to apply for enrolment in Mittweida Summer CommuniCy 2008. There is a registration fee of € 39, but no tuition.

The rooms are full furnished, heated and are self catering. There are single rooms available with shared cooking facilities as well as shower or bathroom. Student accommodation also provides a coin-operated washing machine and dryers. You are pleased to bring your own bedclothes, duvet and pillow with you.
The prices differ between € 155,- and 210,- depending on the size of the room. Rooms are also available for half month.
