Time: Monday, July 14 to Friday, July 25 (68 hrs.) This introductory workshop provides training in relational methods of communications research. It will introduce to graph and matrix theory, to model building and simulation, applicable to social networks. It will provide experience in research methods based on relational information. Students are expected to be familiar with the data analysis methods based on interview surveys and census data. Deficits may be removed by attending an optional brush-up session which will be offered over the weekend preceding the workshops (A-0).
Completion of Workshop A or an equivalent course is a prerequisite for Workshops B and C.
