Advanced Training and Research in Networks and Complexity
“Mittweida Summer CommuniCy 2008“ is a graduate training and research facility. It was started in 2007, organized around a sequence of three workshops providing intensive training in applied theory and research methods. This time, the Summer Academy focuses on Social Networks Analysis and Complex Systems: Applied to client oriented research. Modul A - Relational Tools (Analysis Methods)
Modul B - Relational Theory (Harrison White: Pure and Applied)
Modul C - Complex Systems (Simulation, Application, Transformation)
Teaching staff consists of internationally reputed professionals, which are supported by young academic tutors who will contribute to the workshop sections. Their experience with relational information will facilitate the transfer of working knowledge and the acquisition of data handling abilities in short time. There will also be panel sessions in order to match theory with client applications. Renowned outside experts will be involved as well. The three Workshops offer 5 points each of graduate student credit under the European ECTS Scheme.
